KINDERGARTEN GRADUATION

There was some thought that this day would never come. It was down to the wire and yet he pulled through and we made it...Corbin graduated Kindergarten!! LOL!

Thank you Mrs. Hallam for the constant hushing of my Jabber Box! (I think those words were used on my report cards too..K-12!) Corbin was in a K-1st grade combo class (I cried when I got that phone call!). He made many friends and broke several harts along the way. There was one little girl that made up a pet name for him "Captain Corbin"! What?!

Say hello to his first official crush...Hailey M. He said she smiles when she talks and he kind of likes it. I of course promoted that girls have yucky germs and he can't have a girlfriend until he is 21 and served a mission. Brain washing...a little!

CONGRATULATIONS CORBIN! YOU ROCK!!!

WEAR YOUR KIDS OUT BEFORE BEDTIME

Totally love the results of "WEAR YOUR KIDS OUT BEFORE BEDTIME" Family Home Evening. A couple of our friends decided to get together and play at a local park for an unofficial FHE. The kids played for a couple of hours and we got to have some non work related, no stress, adult conversation. Loved it! Thanks Jenny for putting it together! I am thinking we should do this every NIGHT let alone every Monday! Aren't they the cutest drooling monkeys you have ever seen?
Camren snores louder then a grown man! Seriously you can hear this kid all the way down the hall.
Corbin on the other hand is a silent sleeper. Ever since he was a baby I had to sit perfectly still with my hand on his back to see if he was still alive! Sleep what a wonder thing!

Peanut Butter

I know two postings in one night! I am really out doing myself, but this was too cute. While I was catching up on everyone's blog and composing my own, my wonderful two years old was creating a masterpiece out of peanut butter! Isn't he adorable!!

New Bed!

After years of waking up with kinks in our backs and getting no sleep we finally did it! We bought a new bed-a king of course! The first night's sleep was AWESOME! I am getting sleepy just thinking about it! Jody gave me the assignment of shopping for the bedding while he did the heavy lifting..DUH! He tried to give me a budget of $50. I know is he crazy. Where did he want me to go the DI? EWWW! I went slightly over budget and found a whole set for $88! Thank you to WalMart and the Bed in a Bag invention! Luckily he wasn't too mad. But he made the strangest comment and I wanted to get some feed back from all my friends in the blogging world. He said, "This must be the bedding that from the old West had." WHAT? This is so not Old West bedding!!! I thought it had an India. You know Sultan's belly dancers...the bright red and gold!!! I wasn't trying to bring gun slingers and saloons into our bedroom! What do you think?

BOYS

Boys are wonderful aren't they? Only boys find the most inappropriate things to bring to every one's attention and act they it is the greatest!

We took Uncle Bryan to Tiburon and San Francisco. There were big ships, sail boats, exotic cars, even strange looking people...but of course this the picture they chose to take. Corbin's face is perfect too! So enthused with the whole situation. Only after he was done posing did they tell him what it said! Like he would have cared either way. This kid has the typical Tom Sawyer Huck Finn personality. I deffenately have my work cut out for me!

Never did I think that any two kids could be more machivious then Shalisse and I growing up...but apparently I didn't know Corbin and Camren! And yes he is wearing handcuffs and playing with matches...Hopefully this is not a preview of things to come!!!

First Blog!

Everyone raves about their blog and I was feeling a little to old and sophisticated to be on myspace so I am making the switch! I am a little nervous!!!
I think you start it off with catching everyone one up on US! Jody and I were married August 5, 2000. We lived in Pocatello, ID for a heart beat when we moved to the big city of Salt Lake. There we worked, played, and enjoyed feeling what it was like to have some money and time to spend it. Then wonderful Corbin Ray Valentine was born March 30, 2002. Ever since we have been feeling the joys of parenthood and all that comes with it...like more children! Camren Turner Valentine was born October 18, 2005. We have lived in California for the last 5 years. I can't decide if I like it or not! At times I love the fact that I can take my boys out to the park in February...but then I miss where we grew up and think nowhere could be better to raise children. Then I go home and discover what a snob I have become and want to return back to my clean organized pampered way of life! Vicious cyclesI know!
I have attached a pic of the boys. Corbin is now 6 and Camren 2.5. Around here they go by Corbie and Cambo!
